FDSH A Cappella Choir Receives Silver at the Jefferson Invitational

Receiving their second podium finish of the year, the Fort Dodge Senior High A Cappella Choir earned the silver medal at the Jefferson Show Choir Invitational Saturday, March 10. The runner up finish builds upon their performance at the Onalaska Classic choir competition in January where the group received the bronze medal for the second consecutive year and also received the Caption Award for best bass section among all concert choirs.
Cedar Rapids Kennedy’s Chamber Singers took first place and Des Moines Lincoln’s Chamber Choir took third at the invitational. After a third and second place finish thus far, the A Cappella Choir can only hope to continue climbing the ladder to gold. The choir is directed by Joe Svendsen.
