Strengthening Families Program: All 6th grade students and their families are invited to participate in the 2013 Strengthening Families Program. This program helps families work together to improve behavior and attitude, respect others, make good choices, deal with stress and resist peer pressure. The program is free and has been successful over the past 9 years, with more than 750 families from the Fort Dodge area participating. For more information review the registration form. Registration is due by January 11.
Fair Oaks Middle School - Covering 112,706 square feet, Fair Oaks Middle School was constructed in 1931. Additions were completed in 1937 and 1967. The District's adoption of the middle school philosophy in 1984 changed the name of the building from South Junior High School to Fair Oaks Middle School. Districtwide grade reconfiguration in 1990 changed Fair Oaks from a building housing grades 6, 7 and 8 to housing grades 5 and 6.
