Fort Dodge = Quality Life

      The community of Fort Dodge is located on the Des Moines River in Webster County, approximately 90 miles north of Iowa’s capital, Des Moines, and has a population of around 26,000. The Fort Dodge Community School District has approximately 4,000 students attending nine schools: six elementary buildings which house grades pre-kindergarten through 4; two middle schools, one which houses grades 5-6 and one which houses grades 7-8; one high school which houses grades 9-12 and an alternative high school.

      Fort Dodge offers exceptional opportunities for employment, entertainment, education, shopping, and just living a well-balanced midwest life. The Fort Dodge area is known for the following:

      recreational activities available are fishing, boating, water skiing, swimming, hiking,
      cross country skiing, ice skating, biking, golfing, and camping.
